The Kununurra Visitors Centre is giving tourists and locals a unique perspective of Purnululu National Park, by exhibiting an image from Landgate's Earth is Art series.
The image, 'Wandering Bungles', is an aerial photograph that reveals a bird's eye view of the huge beehive shaped mounds.
Landgate's Robin Piesse said that the image clearly shows the deep contours and rich colours of the popular tourist site.
"This image leads you into the magic of the Bungle Bungles Range, then down the dusty road off into the distance," Ms Piesse said.
Landgate is custodian of the State's aerial photography capture program and has aerial imagery going back to 1948.
Landgate's Earth is Art series is a collection of hand selected, aerial photographs and satellite images that capture the beauty of the Western Australian landscape.
"The photographs have been selected from Landgate's extensive image library portraying unique and artistic impressions of Western Australia" explained Ms Piesse.
"Almost 60 per cent of the images are from the Kimberley area."
Narelle Brook from the Kununurra Visitor Centre said the centre played host to record numbers of tourists in 2009, with more than 98,000 people walking through the doors.
"At least 50 per cent of tourists come here to see the Bungle Bungle," Ms Brook said.
"Many tourists book flights or ground tours via the Kununurra Visitor Centre.
"With the Earth is Art image on display, visitors will get an idea of what they are in for before they embark on their journey.
"Hopefully, even more people will be enticed to see this natural wonder for themselves."
