A group of nine Vietnamese delegates headed by the Vice Minister of the Vietnam Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Mr Nguyen Manh Hien will be hosted by Landgate this month.
The delegates plan to be in Perth on August 10 and 11.
As Vice Minister of MoNRE, Mr Hien has responsibility for the General Department of Land Administration (GDLA) which is a new agency in Vietnam providing services including land valuation, land use planning and land development. Accompanying Mr Hien will be Mr Phung Van Nghe the Acting Director General GDLA.
The GDLA is analysing and revising Vietnam's land laws which will be submitted to the Vietnamese Government by 2011.
Landgate Chief Executive Mike Bradford said, as international best-practice was essential for the revised land laws, the Vice Minister was leading a group of his experts in land administration, land use planning, land economics and land development while in Australia to gain first-hand knowledge of our procedures.
"Landgate International is coordinating the Vietnamese delegates' visit providing training and tour opportunities that will deliver the knowledge sought.
"It will provide presentations by Landgate's Property & Valuation Services, Registration Services, and Location Products and Services.
"This is a very important process and we are honoured to be chosen by the Vietnamese delegation as experts in our field and therefore able to help them revise their laws.''
Some of the programs that will be demonstrated by Landgate are Land Valuation, Satellite Remote Sensing
FireWatch and Land Titling and Registration.
Landgate is Western Australia's primary source of land information and geographic data, providing the accuracy government, business and individuals rely on.
