Landgate welcomes Roger Hussey and Anne Arnold to its Board of Management and confirms the reappointment of its Chairman Geoffrey Hick.
Mr Hussey joined the Board in October 2012 replacing Katrina Burton; while Ms Arnold will replace Peter Cooke when his term of appointment expires on 31 December 2012.
Landgate Chief Executive Mike Bradford said the knowledge and experience of the new Board members would further strengthen Landgate's corporate governance and commitment to engaging with key industry groups in the property market.
Ms Arnold has held positions in a number of private and public organisations, the most recent as Chief Executive Officer of REIWA (Real Estate Institute of WA). Her experience in the property industry along with her commercial expertise and a good understanding of the public sector will be of considerable value to Landgate.
Mr Hussey has held senior management and Board positions in a number of public and private companies. For the past 12 years he has been a member of leading consulting firms consulting on national and international projects covering business planning, economic development and major feasibility studies. He has also been Chairman and a director of a number of government and community boards.
Mr Bradford thanked Ms Burton and Mr Cooke and said they had made a considerable contribution to Landgate's success.
"As inaugural members of the Board, their unique set of skills and experience helped to successfully transition Landgate to a statutory authority and enter into the commercial market with a strong competitive presence," said Mr Bradford.
New and reappointments to the Board are a three year term.
The appointments are made by the Minister for Lands and approved by State Cabinet.
Katrina Burton was an inaugural member of the Board whose second term of appointment expired in July 2012. She was the Board's Deputy Chair between 2007 – 2009; and Chair between 2009 – 2010.
Peter Cooke was an inaugural Board member and has been the Deputy Chair since 2009.
Landgate is Western Australia's primary source of land information and geographic data, providing the accuracy government, business and individuals rely on.
