Landgate's December 2013 Business Activity Profile (BAP), released today, shows continued improvement in total document lodgement activity for the first two quarters of 2013/14.
The total number of document lodgements in the first two quarters of 2013/14 was 182,327, an increase of 7.80% compared to the first two quarters of 2012/13; and an increase of 21.0% compared to the first two quarters total in 2011/12.
Landgate Acting Chief Executive Ian Hyde said, "While there are seasonal highs and lows in property activity throughout the year, these results are not surprising. Since July 2013, the total number of documents lodged for each month has been consistently higher when compared to the same months in each financial year since 2010/11."
The December 2013 BAP is available on Landgate's website. It provides the daily average of all documents lodged with sections detailing transfers, mortgages, caveats, searches and other categories of property related documents.
