SPUR powered by Landgate is encouraging entrepreneurs and start-up businesses developing innovative location-based products or services to apply for funding under a new grants program.
SPUR General Manager Jodi Cant said SPUR was launched to promote the collaboration, stimulation and acceleration of new Western Australian ideas.
“We’re already working with start-up companies which are using location data to cut red tape and improve services to the community,” Ms Cant said.
“SPUR is now offering grants of up to $25,000 to entrepreneurs and businesses looking to take their innovative location-based product or service to the next level.
“Recipients of the SPURonWA grants can spend the money on developmental activities like intellectual property protection, product development or commercialisation services.
“I encourage anyone with a good location-based idea to contact SPUR and see whether they are entitled to a grant or other assistance.”
Applications for this round of funding open on 17 October 2016 and close 11 November 2016.
