Welcome to the reinvigorated Landgate Customer Information Bulletin.

- Lodging parties can now provide their email addresses in PEXA
- Caveator addresses
- Reminder to update contact details on paper form templates
- Residual Documents – Now supporting multiple titles
Lodging parties can now provide their email addresses in PEXA
|
A recent change by PEXA has enabled lodging parties to nominate an email address for the purpose of lodgement correspondence. We encourage PEXA Subscriber Managers to update their preferred organisation email in their Land Registry Correspondence Details in PEXA so that if Landgate, the Registrar of Titles or the Commissioner of Titles needs to contact the Subscriber regarding specific lodgements, correspondence can be sent via email to the designated email address. For further information on how to update Land Registry Correspondence Details in PEXA, please visit the PEXA website Managing Subscriber Details. |
Caveator addresses
|
A caveator can now provide either an email address or a postal address within Australia for service of notices when lodging a caveat electronically via PEXA. This is the address used by the Registrar of Titles or the Commissioner of Titles to notify the caveator if an application to remove their caveat is lodged for registration. The removal notices include strict statutory timeframes for responding. Failure to respond can result in the removal of the caveat by operation of law under the Transfer of Land Act 1893. Therefore, it is very important for the caveator to provide an up-to-date address for this purpose. |
Reminder to update contact details on paper form templates
|
A reminder that many of Landgate’s remaining pdf forms for paper lodgements were updated in August to remove the requirement for a fax contact number, which was replaced with a field for a contact email address for lodging and preparing parties. Please ensure that any template forms your organisation uses have been updated accordingly. Current Landgate forms are available on the Land transaction forms page. |
Residual Documents – Now supporting multiple titles
|
We have recently updated the Residual documents to allow multiple titles to be shown in a single document (subject to meeting other document requirements). The lodgement of Residual documents is highly encouraged because their additional functionality allows Landgate to register them faster than if lodged in paper. For more information on the 46 Residual documents available for electronic lodgement, including the full list, please refer to the Residual Document Table and ELE-04 – Residual Documents in the Land Titles Registration Policy and Procedure Guides, or email dealings@landgate.wa.gov.au |
