Although Landgate is not involved in any changes to the new Firearms Act 2024, if you have recently been asked to provide a Landgate ID to support your licensing or registration, you will be able to find that via the Landgate website.

A Landgate ID, also known as the volume and folio number from your property’s Certificate of Title, can be found using the following steps. These steps will take you through adding your Certificate of Title to an online payment cart. However, please note that you will be able to view the volume and folio number for your property’s Certificate of Title FREE of charge by adding it to your cart. It is only if you wish to download a copy of the Title that you will be charged a fee of $31.60.
- Navigate to the Landgate homepage.
- Enter your physical property address into the “Enter property address” field/bar, as shown below. (See below image). This should also work for large rural properties too, such as Lot numbers – e.g. Lot 23.
As you are typing your address, select the relevant search item from the dropdown menu.
You will be redirected to a ‘Landgate Products’ page.
3. Under the ‘Certificate of Title’ heading select ‘Add to cart’ option. (See below image)
4. After selecting add to cart, you will need to select ‘Go to checkout’, which should appear on the bottom right-hand corner of the webpage (see below image).
5. This will then take you to the shopping cart and a summary of added items will appear. Under the heading / column title ‘Product name’, the volume and folio number will appear next to the words ‘Certificate of Title’. The volume number will be first, followed by a ‘/’ and the folio number.
NOTE: This can sometimes be referred to as the Landgate ID by other Agencies, such as WAPOL.
6. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do not click the ‘next’ button on the bottom right of the webpage unless you wish to continue to purchase a copy of the Certificate of Title.
