Which documents can I purchase?
A Certificate of Title has a number of related documents registered against it. You can purchase copies online via our Land Enquiry Services site.
Associated title documents may include:
- mortgage documents
- caveats
- transfers of land
- other associated documents.
You’ll need to know document number and type
Unlike the Certificate of Title, you cannot search for associated title documents through an address search. To order a document you must first know the document number and type. This information is shown on the Certificate of Title, which you can also order via our Land Enquiry Services site.
Associated title documents give you:
- additional information about a property
- details about a caveat, buyer and sellers and mortgages
- access to documents for any property.
Associated title documents are useful for:
- learning more about a document registered on a Certificate of Title
- identifying the source of a document
- identifying parties to a document.

Frequently asked questions
You will need a copy of a Certificate of Title to obtain the relevant document numbers. If you already have a Certificate of Title for your property, then you do not need to order another one before ordering documents. However, it is recommended that you order a copy of your Certificate of Title to ensure you are viewing the most current information.
The Certificate of Title will show the name of the document under the section 'Limitations, Interests, Encumbrances and Notifications' or, in the case of a transfer, under the 'First Schedule'. The document number will also be listed there.
There is no limit to the number of documents you can order. However, they need to be added to your shopping cart one document at a time. When you are at the review cart stage you can select 'continue shopping' and select another document to add to your cart.
Yes you can. All you need is the document number and type of the document you wish to purchase. You can find these on the Certificate of Title for the property of interest.
